Camp Overview

The Virginia Pride Summer Speed Camp offers a bespoke speed training program tailored to deliver individualized attention for optimal outcomes. Spearheaded by our seasoned sprint coaches, this six-week intensive is meticulously crafted to enhance athletes' explosive speed and power through a track and field-inspired curriculum. Participants will experience significant improvements in flexibility and overall speed, alongside a reduction in injury risk.

At the heart of our camp is a commitment to instilling the core principles of speed training, empowering athletes to refine their linear, lateral, and multi-directional movements across various sports arenas, thereby elevating their athletic prowess. Our mission is to foster peak athleticism.

Our program transcends ordinary workout routines. Camp attendees will gain not only proficiency in sprint drills but also an in-depth understanding of their purpose. It's crucial for athletes to receive high-quality coaching and guidance during their camp experience; however, our aim extends beyond the camp's duration. We equip our athletes with a suite of exercises and the knowledge to implement these strategies throughout the year, ensuring continuous improvement.

Convening weekly, our comprehensive Summer Speed training program is specially designed for athletes engaged in speed and power-centric sports. Sessions are dynamic and encompass a full spectrum of movement practices, including stretching, mobility exercises, activation, active warm-ups, linear and lateral speed enhancement, agility training, plyometrics, core strengthening, and overall strength development.

This innovative approach to speed training not only introduces new skills but also revolutionizes your training perspective. It builds upon a solid athletic foundation while meticulously focusing on the individual objectives of each athlete.

Camp Dates 6/17/2024 - 7/26/2024

Location – Gainesville Highschool  - (Loudon County location coming soon) 

  • Gender – Boys / Girls
  • Ages 5 – 18
  • Times 8:00 am - 10:00 am
  • Days Monday - Friday

 

  • Monday, Wed, & Friday ages 11 – 18
  • Group 1 – 11/12
  • Group 2 – 13/14
  • Group 3 – 15/18

 

  • Tue & Thursday Ages 5 – 10
  • Times 8:00 am - 10:00 am
  • Group 1 – 5/8

Fees: Total Cost

5–10-year-olds $150
11 - 18-year-olds $200


Checklist of things to bring

ALL CAMPERS:

·       1 pair of broken in running shoes

·       Water bottle

·       Sunblock

·       Packed snacks

·       Gym bag/backpack

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

In case of a medical emergency, 911 will be utilized and parents called immediately if they are not on site.
